The  Youth Ambassador for PWS program enables young people and adults living with Prader-Willi Syndrome to share their story, communicate their message  in raising awareness of Prader-Willi Syndrome and advocating for better access to housing and support, leading to wellbeing and quality of life.

This program is at the heart of The PWS Better Living Foundation, as we value each and every one of our ambassadors who volunteer their time in advocating for a better future for young people living with Prader-Willi Syndrome.

Our Youth Ambassadors are encouraged to share their stories through a range of media including print, radio and television, and public speaking engagements with both community and corporate audiences.

The Ambassador program is managed by James O’Brien who has a son, Ashley, 19 years old with PWS and has many years experiences working at St Paul’s school, Villa Maria in Melbourne as a teachers aide supporting students with Disabilities.  James was also past President of the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Victoria for 10 years and has assisted many PWS families.
